Thoughts from Father Parent, O.M.I.

Effort is always a success before God regardless of what the visible results may be.
Father Louis-Marie Parent, O.M.I.
Reflections on the following thought:
Father Parent’s words remind me of what I experienced in my youth and adult life. The effort in the discipline comes from my upbringing. It has become a leitmotiv for me, like the presence of God.

Yes, effort is always a success in the eyes of God, because it has enabled me to discover my talents, refine my personality and, I believe, realize God’s plan for me.

Effort is necessary; success or failure makes no difference to God’s love for us. Success encourages us to take further steps; failure reminds us that God’s love is faithful in every situation. Whatever you do, God is always moving and being.

The most important thing is to make a sustained effort to trust and love God on a daily basis.
