| The most certain path of love is the path of hope that we find at the crossroads of faith. Father Louis-Marie Parent, O.M.I. |

Reflection on Father Parent's thoughts: All paths lead to God. I am a caregiver in a residential care home for elderly people, some of whom have lost their independence. I am responsible for the other caregivers, and I am in the minority as a white person. All my colleagues are people of colour and, moreover, of different religions. As an Oblate, I sometimes talk about religion with the cook, who is of a different faith. She asks me a lot of questions about my faith, and I am not afraid to express my beliefs, which is important to me. My hope is to walk alongside everyone, whether they are Muslim, Jewish, Anglican or other, because I know that every person is precious in God's eyes. Every day, I ask Him to look upon each of them in the same way. Thus, I hope to bear witness to the Father's unconditional love through my attitude towards life. My faith will be sustained by hope, which will help me to reveal the Father's love and to rediscover his face through the people I meet every day. Gracia Moreira
