To pray is for the
Oblate a vital necessity, a demand of love, a time of discernment before
acting, a condition for a fruitful apostolate. (Constitutions # 1.18)

“The Oblate strives on a daily basis to integrate ever more profoundly the following give attitudes of life, which mean to create in her the mentality of Christ himself, so that she may live the Charity of Christ and bear witness to it.” (Constitutions, art. 1.26)

Through
the most ordinary means, the Oblate strives daily to increase in number
her gratuitous deeds of love, thus creating with the persons of her milieu
a climate of joy and fraternity. She practises charity in action by creating
new relationships, or renewing the old, where indifference, conflict or
tension make communications difficult. (Constitutions # 1.32)
