Founded
in July 1952, in Grand Falls, New-Brunswick (Canada), the Institute
attracted from the start a large number of enthusiastic young women
called to live this marvellous project. The
members of the Institute rapidly spread throughout several Quebec
cities, namely Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec and Montreal.
As early
as 1954, the Institute developed its international and missionary
aspect. This is how Chile became the second land to welcome three
Canadian pioneers. Today, the Institute has members in approximately
twenty countries in the Americas, in Europe, in Asia and in Africa.
